You can add this widget to a page to create a decision tree for readers to use to find solutions.

Edit a Decision Selector Widget
Plan for the Widget
- Make a list of all your solutions.
- Make a list of attributes that apply to each solution. Example of a solution and its attributes (from the actual Digital Identity selector on the demo site):

- Create questions to prompt people to filter on attributes. Solutions are identified for people based on the attributes they select in response to the questions. Example of a question and attributes available to select to filter on:
Type of e-signature- E-signature w/identification
- Digital signature
- Digital seal
In the example used above, the user is presented with the question and attributes to filter on. The beginning of the list of solutions is listed on the right.
If the person selects Digital seal, the list of related solutions on the right is filtered based on the selection:
Add the Widget
To add the widget:
- In Adobe Demos Admin, click Manage Portal Pages:
- At Manage Portal Pages, next to the page you want to add the widget to, click the pencil edit icon:
- At Edit Page, under Page Content, click + Add Widget:
- At Select widget to add to page, click Decision Selector:
- At Add decision selected widget, complete the settings:
Title
Enter the title for the widget.
Summary
Enter a summary for the widget.
Display widget title
Displays the title on the page. Click to turn off.
Display widget summary
Displays the summary on the page. Click to turn off.
- To build your decision tree, follow the instructions below to create the solutions, attributes, and questions for your decision tree.
Add Solutions
Your solutions are suggestions to users based on the attributes they select. To add a solution:
- Under Solutions, click + Add Solution:
- Complete the settings in the dialog that opens:
Item name
Type the name of your solution.
Attributes
Populated when you create an attribute and add this solution to the attribute.
Click action
Options:
- Open page in new tab opens a new tab with the URL you enter in Page URL.
- Display description displays a pop-up with the description you type in the Description field.
Page URL
Displayed if you selected Open page in new tab in Click action. Enter a URL.
Description
Displays if you selected Display description in Click action. Type a description.
- Click Done.
- Repeat these steps for each solution you want to add.
Add Attributes
Attributes are the options to answer the questions you’ll add next. To add an attribute:
- Under Attributes, click + Add Attribute:
- Complete the settings in the dialog that opens:
Category
Select a category.
Item name
Required. Type the name of your attribute.
Solutions
Click in the field and select a solution to pair this attribute with. To select more solutions, click in the field and select another solution. Do this for all solutions that apply.
- Click Done.
- Repeat these steps for each attribute you want to add.
Add Questions and Section Breaks
To questions:
- Under Questions, in the Introductory Textfield, type an introduction to the purpose of the widget:
- In the Text for no matches field, type the text the user will see when their selections return no matches.
- If would like to group the questions you’re adding, you can add section breaks for the questions. If not, go to the next step. To add a section break:
- Click + Add Section Heading.
- Complete the Question heading field, then click Done:
- Click + Add Section Heading.
- To add a question, click + Add Question:
- Complete the settings:
Question text
Type the text of your question.
Explanation help text
Type explanatory text for your question. This will open in a dialog when a user clicks on the question mark icon next to the question.
Allow multiple selections
Click to allow.
Attribute choices
These will be the options for users to select in response to the question. Click in the field and select an attribute. Repeat this for each attribute you want to add.
- Click Done.
- Repeat the steps above to add other section breaks and questions.
- Once you have added your section breaks and questions, you can change their order by clicking the up and down arrows to the left of them:
- Click Add to save your widget.

- In Adobe Demos Admin, click Manage Portal Pages:
- At Manage Portal Pages, next to the page you want to add the widget to, click the pencil icon to edit:
- At Edit Page, on the decision selector widget you want to edit, click the pencil icon:
- On the Edit decision selector widget page, edit as needed based on the instructions in the preceding sections:
- Once you make a change, the Update button is enabled at the bottom of the page. When you're done, click it to save your changes.
